Following a blistering start to the season, United suffered a slight setback after a majority of their defenders, including Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand, Rafael, Fabio, Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling were sidelined with respective injuries. The Reds are hoping that Ferdinand and Rafael will be available for the match while the rest are expected remain absent from the squad.
“We just have to get on with it. It’s about how we manage and cope with injuries. We’ve been a bit unfortunate but are still up there fighting with the best. I am excited and I’m loving it. It was a nice feeling to get out of trouble with Blackburn on the last day of the season but it’s an even nicer feeling knowing you are at the top of the table wih a fantastic chance of winning the English title.”
