Crytek executive producer, Nathan Camarillo, had a few things to say to people who might not agree with the bold statement:

Great to hear that Camarillo is going more for substance over style in this entry for the Crysis series. The first game was absolutely gorgeous, but the gameplay was a bit lacking in terms of depth and combat. Crysis: Warhead, however, was a much better entry in the series and provided players with a very fast-paced action-heavy experience. If Crytek can adopt that kind of gameplay into the cramped confines of New York with Crysis 2, they will have no problem backing up their statement.

We’re aiming to set the graphical benchmark. Why would anyone not want to play a game with the best graphics they have ever seen, great gameplay, some engaging fiction, challenging AI, killer weaponry and a complete gaming experience like no other?"

Crysis 2 will be pitting you against alien terrorists in New York sometime in September 2010.
